چکیده

One of the most common load modes is flexure. The paper measures and models flexural strength modulus a bio-polyethylene reinforced with thermos-mechanical fibers from corn stover. Moreover, authors use modified rules mixtures to evaluate contribution reinforcements properties composite. It was found high impact coupling agent content on composites, materials 6% such 50% reinforcement increased 181% matrix, 464% its modulus. obtained values are noticeable higher than polypropylene some composites. Micromechanics analysis shows that effect natural fiber bio-based PE similar effects polyolefin. Thus, fully composites can be proposed as substitute for oil-based polymers, partially materials, their

Effect of Plasma and Fiber Position on Flexural Properties of a Polyethylene Fiber-Reinforced Composite.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of plasma treatment using argon and oxygen gases, combined with fiber position on flexural properties of a fiber-reinforced composite. Eleven groups were evaluated, a non-reinforced control group and 10 groups reinforced with InFibra, a woven polyethylene fiber, varying according to the plasma treatment and fiber position. The samples were prepar...

Acoustic properties of 3D printed bio-degradable micro-perforated panels made of Corkwood Fiber-Reinforced composites

Introduction: Micro perforated panel (MPP) absorbents promise the next generation of sound absorbers as they have significant advantages over other porous adsorbents. In this study, we will investigate the acoustic performance of MPP absorbents made of biodegradable polylactic acid composite reinforced with natural corkwood fibers (PLA/Corkwood) by 3D printing technology. Material and Methods:...

Micromechanical modeling of fiber reinforced pervious concrete composites

Pervious concrete is widely used in today’s construction industry, e.g.. parking lots, airport runways, etc. However, the durability and strength of the porous concrete remains a challenge, as the binding material proportion is low and the use of fi ne aggregates is nearly 0. Increasing the compressive load, the failure appears fi rst in the weak concrete zone induced by the random distribution...

Evaluation of Flexural and Tensile Properties of Short Kenaf Fiber Reinforced Green Composites

The present work study flexural and tensile behavior of short Kenaf fiber reinforced composites. The fibers are chemically treated in 2% NaOH solution at room temperature. Short fibers of 4mm and 8 mm are used in the present work. The composite lamina is prepared by hand molding using isopthalic polyester resin. Flexural test and tension tests are carried out as per ASTM standards. The flexural...
